Why the tools are free

GratisLab is a set of everyday file tools that run entirely inside your own browser. Compress a photograph to the exact size an exam portal or government form demands, squeeze a scanned PDF under a hundred kilobytes, merge or split documents, resize a signature to its published millimetre spec, crop a passport photograph, count the words in an essay, or compare two versions of a text line by line. You pick a tool, hand over a file from your phone or computer, and the work happens on your device.

What to expect from every page

Because nothing is sent anywhere, there is no queue, no meter counting files against you, and no account asking for an email before the button works. A ten-megabyte scan costs nothing to process, and so does the one after it.

Every page states plainly what goes in, what comes out and what the tool cannot do. When a job finishes, the result appears beside the original with its real numbers attached — the size it landed at and the dimensions it carries — so you can check it against what the form asked for before saving. And when a target could not be met, the page says exactly what came out instead: handing over a file with a straight answer beats refusing the job.
